How has PCN Coach Training been beneficial to you?
This process has allowed me to dream again. The dream that God designed for me and placed into my life is alive and vibrant again.
Personally, it has given me some tools to use in my marriage to re-start communication with my bride.
It has turned me in to a “caring pastor” because of improvement in listening. Others have actually witnessed the change in me and have commented on it.
Coaching has helped me discover an area of my life where I need to grow in order to be a more effective leader.
Coach Training has helped me to be honest with myself, to do self evaluation and provide personal answers to help me grow through the struggles.
It has freed me from the bondage of advice and information stage of seeking to solve other people’s problems for them. I have grown personally and spiritually evidenced by my wife, children and people who knew me as a pastor.
It has opened a new and exciting way to invest in the lives of people. I have often felt inadequate in counseling. Coaching effectively eliminates feelings of failure and encourages life transformation.
It has taught me different techniques in ministry. I used to be heavy in giving advice. That was not always good for me or those I tried to help. This has given me a new insight in ways to be a better minister.
Coaching has been beneficial in keeping me accountable and focused in studying for the Ph.D. Comprehensive Exam. Through coaching, I was able to set a goal and continuously set steps to achieve the goal. I have a plan of study that I can purse now that was not in place when I started the coaching process.
Coaching has been revolutionary for me to say the least. Because of my coach’s patience and giftedness in listening as well as his straightforwardness, he was able to help me learn very valuable lessons and skills as well as teach me by his openness and honesty.
I am now aware of some men who can bail me out in the future when I cry out for help. That is a resource in itself. Before PCN, I did not have access to the tools of Coaching nor was I aware of this pool of people whom I could call on to provide a listening ear and help me discover the direction I needed.
